I do love the bonuses that you get for killing Legendary Lords. One game, for roleplaying reasons, I had avoided having Karl Franz get a lot of combat skills, focusing mostly on the red tree.He still became pretty damned beastly, what with regeneration and poison attacks from the Vampires, armor piercing from Grimgor, plus a few others I can't recall right now, and the number of magical items I shoved on him. By the end of it could take out most lords without too much trouble, and his buffed army could keep most of the enemy off his back.It felt a bit weird when I had built him purely to buff his army, hell, I had even hesitated in getting Deatchclaw at first, but in the end I just couldn't resist the urge to fly in Archaeon's face and smash his head in with a hammer. I've been playing an Iket Claw campaign, and I may have run into a bug, or maybe the AI is just dumb. I planted one of those bombs under Tilla's capital, and they discovered it when it needed ten more turns to detonate. Instead of purging it with either of the two heroes they had, they instead let it go off? Does the AI always do this? Do I not have to worry about Undercities being discovered? And while I'm thinking about Skaven, does anyone know a good zero upkeep mod?

I have one of them, but it doesn't seem to work no matter what I do. Well, I did find a no upkeep mod.And everything is all sorts of crazy. Boris Todbringer has crowned himself Emperor, and Karl his down to a handful of settlements, none of them in his starting zone, while the Fey Enchantress has somehow extended to my north, forming a barrier between me and Ironbreaker. I'm fairly certain Queek is doing well for himself, if the level of Skavan corruption coming out of the badlands is anything to go. The Border Princes seem to be doing well on top of this. It hasn't been 50 turns yet.

It's the same issue I have with the Sword of Khaine and Tyrion's Bloodline of Aenarion; why bother with supercharging one unit when you can boost the entire army? One uber-lord is still only one unit, and if the rest of their army gets killed it's a huge pain. That reminds me of what happened to Ungrim in my last Dwarf campaign. One of his skills gives him -1 recovery time, and he also got the trait from defeating Vlad (-4 recovery time). After a nasty ambush from Queek where Ungrim 'died' I took a look at his army, and he was still there.
The sum of his recovery skills made it so he just instantly recovers in his army. The irony is fantastic; the Slayer King, whose entire goal in life is to die honorably so he can restore his line's honor, is literally unable to die. Well, typically, it's the faction that gets the tutorial mission option that does the Vortex rituals. So Mazdamundi, Tyrion, Malekith, and Queek.
But if one of them is wiped out by hook or by crook, it passes to another playable one. In this case, to the Last Defenders. And so on, until all the playable factions for that group are gone (or you've beaten their attempt to harness the Vortex and booted them from the race like that). Now, them then splitting up. The only thing I can think of that would explain it is one of Mazdamundi's core territories being very low order, leading to a Hexoatl Rebels faction to emerge, which then reestablished Hexoatl as a faction by taking over a settlement. Had that happen with Marienburg in a Bret game.

You certainly don’t use suspicious capitalization for no reason, so it’s fair to say there’ll be a Chaos faction in play – a near confirmation of something we already expected. Office Warhammer expert Rich speculates that we’ll see the Daemons of Chaos in the new game, following up on the Beastmen and Chaos Warriors. The other big news in the is a new free Legendary Lord for Warhammer II, and judging by the art choices it seems to be a new Dark Elf Lord, most likely Malus Darkblade. If you’re looking forward to the next campaign pack, there’s sad news: “it’s still quite a while away.”.
